Respite Care

Respite Care is the provision of short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home.

The reality is that there are times when even the most loving and dedicated of carers need a break. There can be any number of reasons for this; perhaps the carer is themselves unwell or has to be elsewhere, or maybe they are taking a well deserved holiday? This is where we can help. Butterhill Care Centre has dedicated rooms offering 24-hour care for those requiring this temporary residential service.

There should be no guilt attached to taking time away from a person for whom you care, but sadly, there often is. Butterhill Care Centre is here to help alleviate that and you can be confident that that person is being looked after by people who are not only professional, but who really do care too.

Respite care at our home is also an excellent way of familiarising  service users with our surroundings and people, so if/when a permanent move into residential care becomes necessary, they already feel at home with us.
